Wedding: Sarah & Brad – Brae Burn Country Club, Newton, Massachusetts

Sarah & Brad
Wedding Date: September 5, 2010
Ceremony: St. Brigid Parish, Lexington, Massachusetts
Reception Venue: Brae Burn Country Club, Newton, Massachusetts
DJ: DJ Vin

After Hurricane Earl blew by New England Sarah and Brad were left with a perfect wedding day. I’ve had so much fun working with Sarah and Brad from their engagement session to designing their guest book and their wedding was even more fun!

Catching up on the latest celebrity gossip

One of the things I love about having a second photographer is that while I’m up at the front of the church waiting for the processional to start, the other photographer can be catching images like this right before the ceremony starts.  Thanks Sarah!

Sorry Brad, this was too cute not to include!

Great entrance!

Sarah and Brad had one of the wildest receptions I’d ever photographed.  To capture pictures I had to get right into the middle of the dance floor which was so much fun!

Sarah and her mom.

Congratulations Sarah & Brad!!

Hurricane Earl had his eye on the east coast and all week everyone worried about when it was going to hit and how bad it was going to be.  Since Ariana and Matthew’s wedding was entirely outdoors I was obsessively checking weather.com every hour for updates.  I awoke Saturday morning to pouring rain but the weather forecast predicted the skies to start clearing late morning, giving the tent company just enough time to remove the ceremony tent they had put up “just in case.”  It turned into a glorious summer day in New England for Ariana and Matthew’s wedding.

Ariana arrived with her father in her grandfather’s carriage.

The gardens at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Garden are so beautiful, I felt like I was walking in one of Monet’s paintings.

After the group pictures Ariana and Matthew took the carriage up to the Stone Terrace for a few moments alone and to get some pictures.  We enjoyed an amazing sunset!

Ariana’s grandfather, I love his smile.

Ariana dancing with her father.

And Matthew dancing with his mom.

Congratulations Ariana and Matthew!!!

Ceremony: Union Congregational Church, Isle au Haut, Maine
Reception: Kennedy Field, Isle au Haut, Maine
Videographer: Video Design Films
Band: Phil Rich Swing Band
Cake Artist: Black Dinah Chocolatiers

I cannot even imagine the logistics involved with having a Maine island wedding that has no car ferry and limited services,  I had a hard enough time taking care of just myself, although it was the type of adventure I truly love!  Elsa and Andrew planned a perfect wedding with no detail spared and making it look easy so that everyone could enjoy the most amazing wedding weekend!  Congratulations Elsa and Andrew!!!

First Look!!

The ceremony was in a tiny church that we all squeezed into.  Very simple, beautiful and intimate.

Mom’s reaction

I was so excited when I found that I caught her winking at Andrew during the service!

Love Elsa’s reaction!

They had a wedding parade from the church to the field for the reception.  Everyone had parasols and ribbons to wave.  Fun!!!

Her brothers toast.

After dinner under the tent, the dancing moved into the barn with a 12 piece swing band.  Love the dress Elsa changed into for dancing!
